Matija Cvek & The Funkensteins

Matija Cvek is a musician whose recognition is one of the fastest growing on the Croatian music scene, the owner of two Porins, the one for the best pop album and the Porin for the best male performance for the song "Birds". In the middle of April last year, he released his debut album "Izbirjilvo i slojno" which already in the first week was at number one of the best-selling albums. The big jump in Matija's professional career started after he released his first single, the song "Visine", which became a big YouTube HIT in Croatia with almost 3 million views. After "Visin", he continued to string hit after hit, such as the fast, pop-funk song "Praviš me ludim", which conquered radio stations all over Croatia, the funk song "Probudi se", which he made in collaboration with Saša Antič and Mladen Badovinec, members of the popular hip hop group TBF, pop swing ballad "If I find someone" written for the cartoon "Korgi", "Naloni se" collaboration with Matija Dedić. With the song "Birds" he won first place at the 68th Zagreb Festival.
This is certainly his year as he continues to lower the awards; at the "Cesarica" and "Zlatni Studio" awards ceremony held, he won the song of the year award "Trebaš li me". He is also the winner of the Večernjakova Ruza award for musician of the year. For 2023, Matija was included in the "Program "100 Artists to Watch" according to the IMPALE selection.
