Dino Merlin, also known as Edin Dervišhalidović, initially rose to fame as the driving force behind the pop-rock group "Merlin," which he established in 1983. In 1991, he embarked on a successful solo career under the stage name Dino Merlin. With an extensive repertoire of over 200 original compositions, many of his songs have become timeless classics, resonating with audiences throughout the region. His musical genius has led to numerous accolades, with his albums selling millions of copies worldwide. Dino Merlin's discography boasts eleven studio albums, along with an equal number of European and global tours, including five sold-out shows at Belgrade arenas and four memorable performances at Sarajevo's Koševo Stadium ("Sredin" tour 2000, "Burek" 2004, "Ispočetka" 2008, "Hotel Nacional" 2015). Additionally, he has graced renowned concert halls across the globe, captivating audiences from Australia to America.
His most recent album, "Hotel Nacional," released in 2014, made a significant impact, ranking among the top 10 best-selling albums on the Billboard World Albums chart. The accompanying world tour, bearing the same name, drew nearly one million attendees across four continents, solidifying Dino Merlin's international acclaim.
