In 1885, the Klimt brothers painted the ceiling of the new theatre in Rijeka, and Verdi`s Aida was performed at the grand opening. 135 years later, Rijeka is the European Capital of Culture. This summer, the same theatre, the Croatian National Theatre “Ivan pl. Zajc” Rijeka, invites you to spectacular productions of the opera “Aida” and the famous cantata “Carmina Burana” in the historical ancient amphitheatre in Pula.
