New facilitation measures in Istria and Croatia – No longer a ban on entry and no use of medical masks required, bars and clubs started to work normally
Almost all measures regarding the current restrictions have been abolished since Saturday, 09.04.2022., and only the obligation to use the mask for employees and patients in the health care system and employees of social care institutions remains in force.
Most importantly, tourists coming from EU member states, COVID certificates will no longer be required to enter the Republic of Croatia.
Third-country nationals travelling to the Republic of Croatia can cross the border without proving the reasons for their arrival, and it is sufficient to have a COVID certificate.
Bars and nightclubs are no more under restrictions and they started to work regularly.

We recommend guests to announce their arrival in Croatia via the official website of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia EnterCroatia. By filling in the EnterCroatia form, guests will facilitate and accelerate the crossing of the border of the Republic of Croatia and will be introduced to the epidemiological measures in force in Croatia.

European Health Insurance Card
Health insured citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area (Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland) and Switzerland, who own a European Health Insurance Card, who during a temporary stay in Croatia get coronavirus disease have the right to use all necessary or urgent health care in the Republic of Croatia required for the treatment of the disease, covered by mandatory health insurance. Thanks to a quality public health system and high epidemiological standards, Croatia still has one of the best epidemiological situations in the EU and the least active cases among EU members in the Mediterranean.
