54. Bumblebee Festival in Vodnjan
This Saturday, August 13, everyone is going to Vodnjan for the big 54th Bumblebee Festival!
A rich all-day program starts in the morning with traditional sports tournaments in bocce, basketball and plocking, and at 19:00 a friendly match between NK Vodnjan and NK Žminj will be held at the Vodnjan football field.
The main square will be cheerful already during the morning, with the performance of the Brass Band of the City of Vodnjan starting at 10 a.m., and on the fairgrounds you can see the 15th exhibition of Croatian cold-blooded animals, starting at 3 p.m.
The youngest, the young and all those who feel that way can have fun in the city park! From 19:00 to 23:00 the creative team of the Yellow Umbrella will decorate your faces with face painting!
This year, for the first time, top entertainer Marko The Clown is visiting us, guaranteeing huge amounts of laughter for the audience of all ages! From 19:30-20:30 and again from 22:00-23:00 he will entertain you with stunts, while at 21:00 his spectacular Flying Pancakes Circus awaits you! The flying pancake factory prepared a fantastic show. The vehicle for cheerful interventions in space and time is coming to you. Legendary flying pancakes live! Clown, juggling, fire, visual poi and the craziest pancakes in the world. The ultimate combination of art, entertainment, gastronomy in one place. Hours of hilarious laughter and a mouth full of pancakes!
This year, too, you can expect a traditional race on loads, which starts at the National Square at 7 p.m., followed by the always hilarious parade of allegorical carts at 8 p.m.!
You can also walk to the Vodnjan Pharmacy - a space for contemporary art, where an exhibition of posters by the Vodnjan graphic studio awaits you from 9 p.m.
After a long day, you should have something good to eat and drink, and then after 9 p.m. party until late at night with a rich entertainment program at several locations!
The Primotajo blues band will perform in the beautiful surroundings of the garden (rotunda), the DJ will create a great atmosphere in the city park, the Whiskey train will play on the Župno trg, Anelidi will play on the city market, and the Tu i tamo band and the stars of the evening, Neno Belan &, will perform on the main square. Fiumens!
All visitors in the City area have free parking, and additional parking is available at the fairgrounds in Vodnjan (after 8 p.m.)!
